4" Thickness: R-13.

6" Thickness: R-19.

8" Thickness: R-25.

Note:  

The higher the insulation blanket thickness, the higher the R-Value of insulation.  R-Value is a measurement of the effectiveness to retain or prevent the loss of heat flow. 

Our reflective rolled insulation are sold in 125 ft. length rolls.

The type of insulation you select can make a huge financial impact over the life of your metal building.  

Fiberglass and Reflective Insulation works differently and one type of insulation maybe better than the other for your needs.

Basic Information

• Fiberglass Insulation is a thick layer of spun fiberglass full of tiny air pockets that trap air.  It works like a blanket that is spread over your metal building, keeping heat out during the summer and keeping heat in the winter.  It slows the transfer of heat.
• Reflective Insulation is made of aluminum foil backed with paper, film, or cardboard.  The aluminum will reflect heat away from itself.

Costs

• Fiberglass Insulation cost about three-quarters less than Reflective Insulation.

Climate

• Fiberglass Insulation works better in cold climates.
• Reflective Insulation works best in areas with high sunlight and little cool weather.  (Mediterranean climate)
